Thursday 3/14/24 Afternoon Surf Report
11:00 am: The waves are looking pretty small for your midday report. The waves are in the half a foot to maybe one foot range with the occasional larger set wave. The waves are looking to be mostly in the knee high range with mostly clean conditions. Our local winds are currently blowing out of the N @ just 5 knots, with our local buoy reading 1 foot at 11 seconds, making for the small-scale surf. Overall, our surf campers in Crescent Beach are making the most of the small, lined up waves. It would be a great day to get out on a soft top or even a paddle board if you want to enjoy our beautiful spring break weather.

Thursday 3/14/24 Morning Surf Report
8:00 am: Early morning photos are up and posted and you can see we have very small waves for your Thursday. Small overall with waves only around shin to barely knee high. It’s glassy with the light offshore wind. With the size down on the local buoy, the surf will be very much smaller today. Our best hope is for an incoming tide push, which will be happening all morning long. And with offshore winds at report time, there could be some longboard peelers at key spots….
Wednesday 3/13/24 Afternoon Surf Report
2:30 pm: New photos from late morning are up and posted in box #2 and you can see some small scale waves are left. Definitely smaller overall with now knee high to maybe a thigh high semi-glassy wave left. It got choppier after these photos were taken as the wind picked up onshore. The best of this swell is likely behind us….

Wednesday 3/13/24 Morning Surf Report
8:25 am: Early morning photos are posted and you can see we have smaller surf today. Small overall with waves knee high for the most part. We may need to downgrade the above text data as the waves are considerably smaller than yesterday. Yes there could be a freak high high wave, but most the waves are down to shin to knee high. The good news is the tide is pushing in and many of the sandbars are becoming ‘summerlike’ with groundswell waves peeling across the sandbars at the mid and higher tide
Tuesday 3/12/24 Afternoon Surf Report
Although not great, there are some occasional fun waves. 6 Hour Forecast: Waves knee to thigh high occasionally a little larger. Some waist high peaks possible. The wind will be light early allowing for semi-glassy conditions
Tuesday 3/12/24 Morning Surf Report
8:25 am: Early morning photos are up and posted and you can see we still have waves for your Tuesday. It’s glassy to semi-glassy early this morning with the wind very light and variable. Ther is some small! some thigh high waves, occasionally a little bigger. The way spread out 13-15 second swell interval readings on the buoy offshore makes for a thicker wave, so although the waves are spread out and may be less consistent, when they do come, they will have power. A light seabreeze is expected this afternoon, so the mornings surf will be best with the glassy conditions….

Monday 3/11/24 Evening Surf Report
New evening photos are up and posted and you can see the north swell pushing down the beach in the photos. The pics are from off and around the pier and yes that’s The Dredge doing the groundwork and yes they have been pumping sand. We can’t really see any results just yet, but it is coming. Monday 3/11/24 Afternoon Surf Report
1pm – It’s looking to be knee high with waist high sets. Buoys 4.6ft out of the North at 6 seconds. Water temp 64 with the air at 58. Overall does not look appealing. Best case for some decent waves will be around dark with the higher tide.

8:05 am: Early morning photos are up and you can see it’s choppy with a new N Swell Swell trying to start up. Small overall but there are some knee to thigh high choppy peaks from the north pushing down the beach at times. Bumpy and drifty from the north with a quite chilly wind on top. Some sun, actually plenty of sun, but overall the chill is winning early on this Monday morning….

Sunday 3/10/24 Afternoon Surf Report
1:00 pm: Late morning to mid day photos are up and posted and taken at the pier, and also from 10th Street. Overall the waves are smaller now. Overall around knee high with some ENE peaks around thigh high with sideoffshore wind. Not a lot of power . There are some inconsistent readings on the buoy offshore and could be a few freak peaks here and there worth waiting for. Overall smaller looking though….

Sunday 3/10/24 Morning Surf Report
Wave hight is in the thigh high range or so, occasional sets closer to waist high. a bit of chop with the Lighter NW winds early. Our local buoy the early wave height reading is 3.3 feet at 12 seconds, down from yesterdays 4.9 feet @6 seconds . The marine forecast is predicting moderate NW winds through the day. Saturday 3/9/24 Afternoon Surf Report
Some seemingly offshore wind waves there at the time of the photos, around 10 am. But the wind is sideshore for the most part so it’s not super clean The photos later in the slide show were taken around noon at 10th Street. A few outside peaks and some inside racers there. Overall, not may surfers on it as it’s ‘in between tides’ and we are waiting for key spots or two to catch the swell better. Will it get better before dark? We will see…
