This surfboard design is borrowed from the same hydrodynamic principles in boat hulls–it has a convex bottom contour which enables riders to trim more forward and find plane in waves with less power. Since its inception, this fin has become a widely popular option for an array of wave riding equipment; it pairs especially well with boards that are designed for acceleration, full rail carves, and smooth transitions.
