When Byrd Hair was first created by Chase “Big Bird” Wilson back in 2012, he sourced inspiration from his great grandfather’s hair tonic and barber’s shop located in the Storied Metropol Hotel Fargo, North Dakota. A professional surfer and California Native, Wilson sought out to revive the class and flair of the “gentleman surfer” from 1960’s surf culture through the creation of his own modern pomade.

Backed by the likes of Florida Native professional surfer Evan Geiselman and others including Michael Dunphy, Dylan Goodale and more, you know this has got to be good stuff. Voted one of GQ’s best 47 grooming products of 2017, Byrd’s water soluble pomade will keep your mop under control without weighing it down. Just scoop out the amount of pomade you want to use, massage between your palms and slick through towel-dried hair. Just pick the style that you prefer: classic, light or matte pomade. It’s as simple as that.

Also new in from Byrd is the Texturizing Surfspray. Need to spruce up a little after a session? Simply spray evenly on damp or dry hair and let it be. This reparative spritz uses sea salt and coconut water to add texture, shine and volume. Other ingredients like quinoa proteins and vitamin b5 help to hydrate and repair your sun-beaten locks while providing a natural barrier from UV rays.
